What products or services do you sell? We specialize in various styles of yoga, pilates & guided meditation classes. We also offer individual services like Reiki, tarot card readings, and private classes as well as offer special group events monthly. We have a boutique-style metaphysical shop where we sell the highest quality of crystals and smudges along with handmade products from nine different local vendors like candles, custom resin art, Jewelry, herbal medicine, essential oils, and skincare products.

Describe the vibe of your store. Our serene space has a very inviting and peaceful energy with beautiful bohemian style décor. There are detailed pieces of artwork from our adventures around the world. We have a unique offering of services and products to assist our customers. The overall vibe is one based on healing and community.

What is the one thing your business is known for, over your competitors? Our business is known for the quality and sustainability of each of our products. All of our crystals are sourced ethically directly from the mine owners, and all of our other products are locally handmade, sustainable, and toxin-free. Health, wellness, and education are our top priorities as we build lasting relationships with all of our customers to remain a continuous source for them throughout their spiritual journey.

Explain why you’re known for that. All of the customer feedback we receive is positive and they often mention how they appreciate the wealth of knowledge that we share so freely with them. The time and energy we give to every individual customer, class, event, and encounter is what they value most from our staff and business.

How did the business get started? After living in Hawaii for over a year while spending a lot of time traveling, I started the business at the beginning of 2021 first as a service-based business working alongside other Reiki practitioners and therapists. I found that my clients were having difficulty locating the tools and products I would recommend during our sessions so less than a year after opening my mom Yvette joined the business so we could add those quality products and tools to my services. From late 2021 until the beginning of 2023, we sold our products at a kiosk in the Lehigh Valley Mall.  During our time in the mall, we found that we again wanted to expand our services to meet the needs of our customers so I spent a month in Costa Rica receiving my 200-hour yoga certification. We have now expanded our services to include a yoga studio and offer additional classes.

Why did you choose to open your business in Downtown Allentown? Our family has deep roots in the city of Allentown and we knew we would be a great addition to the continuously growing wellness community downtown. We also knew how City Center does an amazing job supporting the growth and success of the small businesses in their buildings and felt this would be the perfect location for our business.

Tell us about the most significant “win” in your business’s history? Explain what it was, how it came about, and what it meant to your business. The biggest “win” for our business was the expansion of adding products. Although there are many retail options in the area and online there is a lack of knowledge among customers in finding products that are of high quality, sourced ethically, sustainable, and toxin-free. This led us to develop our products, seek out wholesalers that source ethically, and foster relationships with vendors who believed in the same quality and sustainability. This first “win” was one of our initial goals in providing not only the best quality products but also to help educate our ever-growing customer base and community.

What is the biggest risk your business ever took? Explain what it was, what could have happened if it had gone wrong, and the end result of the risk. The biggest risk we took was leaving the “corporate world and medical field” to pursue our dream of providing a safe and inclusive space for healing and wellness in our community. Starting a new business in itself is risky but doing so with a family member is increasingly difficult. We however are thankful to be on this journey together and all support each other including the vendors, staff, and teachers.

What are some of your store’s goals for the future? Our goals are to continue expanding by being a safe space for our community focusing on educating people on physical, mental, and spiritual wellness through holistic healing modalities.

Tell us an interesting and fun fact about your business? High Vibration Wellness is a family business with both owners being minority women and ALL of our vendors, teachers, and event hosts are also minority-owned or women-owned businesses. One of our first goals was to give a platform for other woman-owned businesses and support their growth.

What events do you have coming up? In July, we are focusing on inner child healing and will have a free yoga & meditation event at West Park (date TBD), as well as meditation, sound bath, and a dance fusion workshop at our studio. In addition, we are a vendor at the “Rock the Walk” event almost every Thursday evening until the end of summer. Follow our Instagram or Facebook for more information about these and more upcoming events.
