Years/Months Lived at Center Square Lofts: I moved into Center Square lofts on January 27, 2022. It’s almost been 8 months.
Why make Downtown Allentown home? I heard that it was developing in the last five years with new properties and businesses! Also, I’m less than 2 hours away from the Big Apple.
How did you hear about Downtown Allentown/Lehigh Valley? Through my sweetheart.
Compared to other places you’ve lived, what makes Center Square Lofts unique? Center Square Lofts are unique because of the amenities and wheelchair accessibility.
Why did you want to move Downtown? Was it your job, family, or friends? I wanted to move downtown because of numerous reasons. One, my sweetheart wanted to be in a building that had all the amenities and resources. Two, I needed to find a place that was wheelchair accessible. Three, the area is not that far from New York.
What was the deciding factor that made you choose Center Square Lofts as your new home? The building layout, the two-bedroom apartment with high ceilings, and the accessibility within the area.
What makes living in Downtown Allentown better than living anywhere else in the Lehigh Valley? I can just roll out of my building and be surrounded by sensational restaurants and entertainment.
What’s your favorite memory so far since you’ve moved to Downtown Allentown? Considering I have only lived in downtown Allentown for about 8 months my favorite memory would be rolling by Bru Daddy’s restaurant and seeing the Drag Show. Also, attending the Center Square Lofts events and meeting wonderful new friends!
You have friends from out of town visiting—where are the best spots to take them that show what Downtown Allentown is all about? I have had a few family and friends visit within the few months and I brought them to The Dime at the Renaissance Hotel for the best hors d’oeuvres and drinks. I also show them the new Sports & Social, Tacos Y Tequila restaurant, and the Downtown Allentown Market. My family members were able to enjoy the axe throwing at Split Pine.
What is one thing you love the most about living in Downtown Allentown? I love how convenient it is to roll/walk to any of the restaurants and establishments.
How did you make your apartment, home? I made my apartment home the moment I saw the apartment layout, amenities included, and the accessibility within the building and around the surrounding area. I knew I could make it home compared to any other area.
How would you describe your decorating style? My decorating style is on a wide scale from creative to minimalist.
What’s the weirdest item you own in your apartment? I own in the apartment a ball thrower that I ordered on Amazon for my little Yorkie that he doesn’t even play with because he’s scared of it.
Name one item you always have in your fridge or pantry. The one item I always have in my refrigerator or pantry is rice. The next one would be pineapple juice.
One app must go: Instagram or TikTok. Which one are you choosing and why? I originally jumped back on both of them as of June 13, 2022, but if I had to get rid of one of them it would be TikTok because it can consume all of your time with the different videos and weekly challenges. When you’re on TikTok hours upon hours can go by unbeknownst to you then before you know it the day is gone leaving you unproductive and wondering where the day went!
What’s the most Insta-worthy amenity space in your building? The most insta-worthy amenity space in my building is the fourth-floor lounge! That was the home run for me.
What do you want other people to know about living in Downtown Allentown? The folks in the building and in the area are extremely friendly and warm.
