October Events in Downtown Allentown

Spooky season has arrived, and we’re celebrating all month long with events designed just for our residents! From thrilling rides at Dorney Park’s Halloween Haunt to sweet treats at our Halloween Candy Bar, October is packed with festive fun. Don’t miss the chance to show off your best costume at The Moxy’s Halloween Costume Party and enjoy plenty more seasonal surprises throughout the month.

Live Music on The Path at The Gallery

Stop out to the colorful walkway, The Path, right next to The Gallery apartments on Friday and Saturday nights in September and October for live music from 5-8 p.m. DJ Romeo & Friends will be DJ’ing every Friday and various live music presented by Inkwell. will be hosted on Saturdays. Save the date on Cobu.

Weekly Walking Moai Club with Blue Zones Project

City Center residents are invited to this 10-week walking group in partnership with Blue Zones Project Lehigh Valley! In Japanese culture, the word “Moai” refers to a social support group that comes together for a common task. This particular walking moai will run for 10 weeks every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. beginning Saturday, August 23, through Saturday, October 25. Residents will walk the Downtown Allentown loop of the Urban Greenway with a resident ambassador and Blue Zones ambassador to connect with other residents and meet new friends. The walking group will end at Tiki Bowls, where residents are invited to enjoy a free bowl, smoothie, or bites. Residents who participate in a total of 5 weeks or more will receive exclusive Blue Zones Project Lehigh Valley swag! RSVP on Cobu.

Resident Sunday Brunch

Residents are invited to mix and mingle for a casual Sunday Brunch to check out The Dime’s newly renovated space on Sunday, October 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Enjoy a waffle and omelet station as well as one complimentary drink at the mimosa bar. Please RSVP on Cobu.

Create Your Own Zine Workshop

A zine is a self-published, mini-magazine that can include anything–art, writing, collage, personal stories, or anything weird, wonderful, and uniquely yours. In this hands-on workshop with The Baum School of Art, you’ll learn to create your own zine using whatever inspires you: collage, drawing, writing, and more! All materials will be provided. This class will be held on Wednesday, October 15, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at The Baum School of Art. Purchase your $15 ticket on Cobu.

Resident Day at Dorney Park Halloween Haunt

Residents will pay $24 for tickets (up to 6 tickets can be purchased per order) that include all-day admission from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and parking for Saturday, October 18. Valid ages 3 and over. Enjoy all-day, family-friendly Tricks and Treats from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Then, Halloween Haunt featuring haunted mazes, live shows, scare zones, and more from 6-11 p.m. *All ticket purchasers will need to redeem their barcode at any redemption location in the park to receive a wristband to gain access to the haunted mazes. Treat Yourself Tuesday: Halloween Candy Bar

Stop down to one of the select building lobbies on Tuesday, October 21, starting at 4 p.m., for a variety of Halloween candy where you can make your own treat bags from the Halloween candy bar. Candy will be available first-come, first-served basis. Please RSVP on Cobu.

Resident Halloween Party at The Moxy

Residents are invited to come out to a Halloween Costume Party at The Moxy on Thursday, October 30, from 8-10 p.m.! Enjoy DJ sets, spooky drink specials, costume contest + more! Each resident will get one free drink ticket. *Plus: bring a non-City Center resident guest and you’ll both get an extra drink ticket!
